THE WILD WOMEN PODCAST SOCIETY

Podcasting can feel like you’ve been dumped in the wilderness with only a microphone and a few bears that you hope will listen to you.

But it doesn’t have to feel like that. We provide a map, compass, and community of trailblazers to help you climb up your path through the wild world of podcasting.

The Wild Women Podcast Society is a community of driven, female-identifying podcast hosts, editors, creators, producers, and marketers who want to be intentional, growth-oriented, and adventurous in their podcast journeys.

If you’re already thinking, “Why do we need a community to maximize our show’s impact?” then listen up:

Female podcasters get fewer resources, fewer partnerships, and less money than their male counterparts.

As a community, we can change that.

Enter: The Wild Women Podcast Society.

We’re Angie and Emily (more on us in a minute). As podcasters and small business owners ourselves, we see the lack of affordable resources for women to invest in podcasts and business.

You’ve probably also wondered where the convenient, accessible opportunities to break down roadblocks and help other women grow their podcasts are hiding.

As the saying goes, ‘a rising tide lifts all ships.’ We believe deeply in the power of connection and community in spaces that have traditionally felt out of reach.

And we’d love for you to join the pack.

Is this the network you’ve been hoping for?

We provide a space that prioritizes collaboration over competition, that supports the growth of female-led podcasts and amplifies women’s stories, and that builds connection between creators.

Our goal with the Wild Women Podcast Society is to provide a safe space to crowdsource ideas, inspiration and wisdom, learn from experts on targeted topics to elevate your show, and, of course, GET SHIT DONE.

This community is for you if:

  • You have that running list in your head about how to grow your show: SEO? Reels? Solo episodes? Rebrand? Start a new show?! But you don’t know where is worth taking action.

  • You want to grow your show impactfully and sustainably, with partnerships and engagement that align with your goals.

  • You love podcasting but you’re sick of feeling alone and unsupported in the process.

  • You’ve been consistent in publishing but are feeling stuck or stale in your content, guests or processes.

  • You’re just getting started on your show. You have a concept and guests and somewhat of a plan but are nervous to execute and need more clarity.

  • You crave a community of other female podcasters who know what you’re going through.

  • You want to grow your show but aren’t ready to invest a ton of resources into it.

  • You’ve built a great audience for your show and want to start making money off it and don’t know where to start.

“BUT LIKE… WHAT DO WE DO?”

This community is for you, with you, even by you.

It’s that collaborative and responsive. You will get as much out of it as you ask for, but here are the five offerings that add structure, education, and accountability to your journey:

1 | Group Co-Working for those podcast tasks you put off or need help with

This is your built-in time to work on all the podcasting tasks you tend to put off, even though you know they’re important!

Welcome to is a safe, encouraging, and get-’er-done space to co-work among peers.

You’ll also have the opportunity to tap into Emily’s and Angie’s expertise on podcasting in 1:1 breakout rooms as you’re working on different aspects of your show.

WHY: Accountability boosts you toward your goals, but it can be hard when you’re your own manager!

By stating what you’re going to get done, gathering support from others like you, and having a date and time on the calendar, this monthly session keeps you accountable and on track on your podcast journey.

First Thursday of every month, 8-10am PT

2 | Expert Guidance for Your Show/Biz to move it forward

We will host an expert session every month on a predetermined topic based on the podcasting journey. Spring 2024 cohort topics are as follows, with Summer 2024 coming soon:

  • March: How to Get and Be a Great Brand Partner

  • April: Spring Cleaning for Your Podcast

  • May: Identify Your Unique Growth Strategies for 2024

You’ll also get access to all past session recordings!

WHY: As podcasters, we need to always be learning: learning about our topics, our guests, changing technology, and industry trends.

These sessions are devoted to expanding both your knowledge and your confidence around targeted topics that affect your podcast.

Gather wisdom from others and leave ready to take action. Every session ends with accountability so we can ensure you follow through on what will grow your show or help you reach your goals.

3 | Weekly Discussion Threads to learn from each other

This moderated Slack community gives participants the chance to keep connecting and continue to grow and expand on their podcasting path.

We share a weekly discussion prompt for a topic relevant and timely to the podcast world so that we can continue to learn from each other every single week.

Plus, the community exists 24/7 for you to share whatever is on your mind!

Share an episode that inspired you, ask for feedback on something you’ve created, ask for guest recs… What would you want to share with or ask a group of female podcasters?

WHY: Spending just a few minutes a week contributing to and reading through written discourse keeps your podcast brain churning without adding a ton of to-do’s.

Between live calls, the forum allows you to collect ideas and thoughts on your own time, share resources you find helpful, and discover AHA moments thanks to group input on the topic of the week.

4 | Monthly Advice Column by people who get it (you send the q’s!)

Got questions about podcasting, building a sustainable small business, tapping into creativity, or staying organized through it all?

Once a month, Angie and Emily reply to your questions to help you stay the course in your podcast and/or business.

Submit your question anonymously and we’ll share wisdom through both mindset and tactical lenses.

WHY: Podcasting can be hard. And confusing. And overwhelming. Especially if your podcast relates to your business! Emily and Angie get it.

They’ve spent years learning hard lessons, developing systems and processes, and gathering insights that make a positive impact in your work and passions.

Get individualized answers that are shared with the group, then continue the conversation with other members.

5 | Member Directory so you can give and get support that elevates your work and network

Get and stay connected to the team throughout your podcasting journey.

This is where you’ll find new and established connections, ways to support each others’ shows, calls for guests, collaboration opportunities, etc.

WHY: This network exists for female podcasters to support each other.

Members can share their information with each other to collaborate on their own time, learn about each others’ shows, or simply stay in touch.

We know that “investing in yourself” is a buzzwordy phrase these days. So, let’s dig in. Where are you getting stuck when it comes to investing in your podcast?

  • As seasoned freelancers and small business owners ourselves, we get it. When you put money down on a service, product, or even community, it’s hard to envision the value you’ll get in return. And that’s sometimes scary AF.

The awesome flipside of that is, when you set intentional goals for your podcast (which, of course, we do in WWPS), you have metrics to measure that can help you actually see the return on investment.

Listen, we know that $100/month for 3 months can be an expense to budget for. We also know that you’ll get far more back in return.

The idea is that by taking advantage of the learning sessions, getting in focus work during coworking time, and by having a society of women to support your every move in your podcast projects, you’ll be able to turn that $100/month into a reward far beyond that.

We designed WWPS to fill in the gaps for those of us who want to invest into our business but don’t have the funding for 1:1 consulting or other higher-price resources, and we can’t wait to show you what you can do with $300 for a whole quarter!

  • We feel you. When you’re a creative human, you’re often balancing many spinning plates. It can feel impossible to squeeze in another meeting, even if you know it’d be good for you/your business/your podcast.

That’s exactly why the WWPS can help.

Our co-working sessions are designed to help you make maximum progress in a short amount of time. We do that by a) holding you accountable to showing up to get shit done, and b) providing that space as a deep work, mega focus time to make progress on the tasks that will move your show forward.

Instead of spending 15 minutes here and there prepping social media posts for your next episode, what if you batched them all in one go? What if instead of scrolling your calendar to find a rushed time slot to edit an episode, you already had the time built in on your calendar each month? Heck, you can even use the time as a monthly outreach session where you pitch new guests and potential brand partners.

And our expert sessions are one hour once a month– but that hour is all value, no fluff. The goal is to spend an hour a month learning a skill or mindset that will pay off in your podcast moving forward. In other words, what you take away from the sessions will actually save you time in the future, since you don’t have to go running around Googling things, starting and restarting new methods, or hiring a 1:1 consultant.

And one more thing: The community exists on your own time, meaning you sign into Slack to read and start discussions whenever feels good to you. You decide when you want to share an audio file for feedback. You choose when to send a Q to the Advice Column.

TL;DR: By spending intentional, structured time in the WWPS, you save time in the long run.

  • Let’s be real: You can do everything yourself. You go girl!

But if you’re already doing it all and you’re not quiiiite making the progress you want on your podcast, consider this your next experiment.

Emily and Angie have helped smart, enthusiastic, achieving people elevate their shows, feel more sustainable in podcasting, and get new ideas for growth.

Add that facilitation to a group of likeminded creatives and leaders who are willing to share their resources and thoughts? That’s where the magic happens.

It’s not that you can’t do it all yourself. It’s that collaboration with other women and professionals can help you get where you’re headed more quickly, happily, and sustainably.

Meet your secret weirdos candle connoisseurs podcast mavens, Emily Holland and Angie Marie!

This isn’t our first podcast rodeo, and we wanna take you along for the ride.

Emily always says: “you don’t have to BE serious, but you have to take yourself seriously.”

As a lover of all things silliness and tomfoolery, she learned through life in the corporate world and now self-employment, that you should be able to bring your authentic self to your work.

Emily’s been working with podcasting clients to help them make more money, grow their audiences, and like the process.

In 2023, her clients grew 89% on average across all the metrics we care about. Pretty rad growth percentage, huh?

Angie constantly gets asked, “How do you fit in all these creative projects?!” (Ask her in the Advice Column.)

She started side businesses during her decade of previous nonprofit work before eventually making the leap to full-time self-employed in 2021. Soon, she connected with Emily to work on podcast marketing together, and Emily was never scared off by Angie’s golden retriever energy. Cool!

In the 2 years since Angie started working with Emily, she’s published a book, co-hosted her own podcast, started professional speaking, hosted a wildly popular community storytelling night, trained for 4 ultramarathons (3 of which got canceled and 2 of which she consequently ran solo out of spite), trekked to Everest Base Camp, climbed 5 volcanoes for charity, and eaten roughly 24 blocks of Trader Joe’s Unexpected Cheddar.

With Emily’s podcasting mind and Angie’s business acumen, we’re a match made in podcast heaven to run a community that helps you achieve your goals in podcasting and beyond.

Q’s and A’s

  • It comes down to this: Accountability, community, and education.

This is a community of like-minded, passionate people who get it, facilitated by two co-leaders who have years of experience working with podcasters and content creators and who are here to help you along the way.

There are both coworking and learning opportunities built into the program, so space to level-up is automatically added to your monthly schedule. You’ll dive into topics with experts and others who are open to sharing their wisdom, and where you can amplify your own voice, too.

By joining The Wild Women Podcast Society, you’ll be getting a support system, knowledge, insights, and connections.

  • We will be hosting our coworking call the first Thursday of every month from 9 am - 11 am MST. We host our expert sessions on the third Tuesday of every month from 10 am - 11 am MST. Of course, you can (and are encouraged to) participate in Slack chat as much as you want in between calls!

  • By joining our community, you’ll get access to our Slack channel, where we host weekly discussions, answer your podcast and business questions, and provide resources to grow your podcast and avoid burnout. You can access Slack from both your desktop and your phone, you can control notifications, and you can decide how much you want to read and write yourself. There are different channels for different areas of discussion and networking, with how-to notes to keep it organized and simple to use.

  • Anything shared in the group stays in the group unless specified otherwise.

This community is about giving and receiving. You agree to try to give as much as you take from your fellow group members.

No gatekeeping will be tolerated in this group. We expect participants to be open and transparent with their processes, goals, and successes.

We will not tolerate any sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, antisemitism, xenophobia, or discrimination of any kind in this group. All female-identifying folks are welcome in this group.

Make a commitment to show up fully for yourself and your group members. Minimize distractions during our meetings and make sure you’re in a quiet place.

  • Absolutely! We want you to make connections from this community and go out and work together in real life. The member directory is always there to help you find what and who you need.

  • Definitely. This community is built for people who are getting ready to launch, who have just launched, who have been doing it for just a year, and those who have been doing it for 5+ years. The goal is to help people have a place to get shit done with the community support around them.

  • We know what it’s like to be going at a creative project for so long. The feeling of loneliness, the potential for stagnation, the lack of new ideas coming in. Experienced podcasters can use this community as a place for new ideas, new connections, and to bring new life into their projects. This space is for you.

  • Stoked you’re interested in joining! Every single one of our clients has shown us that for true, effective impact to occur, podcasters need more than a month to get both into the right mindset and into the right habits/rhythms.

We designed the 3-month cohort to maximize impact and value, so this is a 3-month program rather than a month-to-month offering.

  • We’ll talk about everything and anything podcasting! Anything in the podcasting realm is on the table, and we have space to discuss related topics like business, creativity and other content.

  • We all know how key to-dos on your personal project’s to-do list can be deprioritized. Things come up, work gets in the way, family time is important. We get it. This community is designed to help bring you into a focused place and work towards your greater podcast dreams. We will help you set aside the time and space to be able to focus on the things that matter. Plus, you’ll have a community of others who can support your work and keep you inspired every step of the way.

Psst! If you made it this far down the page, we’re almost certain you belong in the community.

Here’s how you can get involved with the next cohort:

As the saying goes, “a rising tide lifts all ships.”

We’re all the ships. The Society is the tide.

My podcast is my passion but I find myself prioritizing other things. WWPS has created a space where I can set aside time to work on it and get feedback from others in a similar arena.

Angie and Emily are both a wealth of knowledge. They are amazing supporters but also reel me back in when I’m going off the deep end of “should I do this” or “should I do that”. They ask questions that matter and bring me back to my goals.

The co-working time serves as accountability to actually set time aside to focus on my podcast and not the million other things going on in my mind. The expert sessions are always loaded with golden nuggets of info that spark inspiration into my next move that in turn make me excited for that next co-working session!
— Wild Woman Tarin
Growing our show and getting more listeners is one of our biggest goals and challenges right now. WWPS has given me access to expert advice and group brainstorming which has helped us come up with new and feasible ways to grow our audience for our upcoming season.

I’ve been getting very clear on the goals for our upcoming season and clarity on how to align our work to those goals so as to not chase each new shiny thing that pops up but really stay the course with accountability.

I most look forward to our coworking and expert sessions each month. Having a dedicated time set aside plus accountability to go along with that time helps my productivity greatly. I also really enjoy our expert sessions because we get to do a deep dive into a highly relevant topic, brainstorm with each other, and have in real-time Q&A.
