Community building and brand activation support for outdoor, sports, and adventure brands and nonprofits
let’s make your event fit your audience like their favorite puffy jacket.
Your work helps people embrace their adventurous side. Your mission makes an impact. That’s why you have a great reputation in the industry! *High five*
But if you get tripped up here:
having an idea, but not having the staff who have time to execute it
planning a new event for your organization from scratch
truly connecting with and welcoming your female audience
building an ambassador program or close-knit community
designing digital resources to support your brand mission
…Then allow me to act as your GPS unit.
My superpower is translating your genius to your audience through high-quality community resources and events that keep them coming back for more.
You need more than just a strategist when it comes to your community programs, launches and events. You also need a visionary, communicator and implementer. Well, hello there– I’m your biz adventure partner who helps you do it all.
Your mission isn’t ordinary. Your events shouldn’t be, either.
Let’s just address it now— I hate boring. I hate “this is how it’s always been.” I hate when a good idea has poor execution because nobody had the time or space to think intentionally about the roadmap to maximum impact.
And yet, many outdoor industry brands and nonprofits have to settle for boring because they don’t have the resources to make their event memorable.
Consider me your secret quadruple threat: idea whisperer, strategic planner, creative director, and community host. I thrive in guiding projects to come to a BIG and BOLD life.
You bring the idea and expertise. I bring the process and execution to make it shine for your audience.
You might want…
To craft a memorable brand activation at an event
To kickstart an ambassador program for your brand to build a raving community base
To connect athletes to your mission in a deeper way that reflects in their work, too
To teach your stakeholders storytelling skills that convert to a stronger community and brand
To create a podcast to expand your brand to specific communities
To host live recurring or special events for female audiences to keep them engaged
An engaging blog, irresistible freebie or new digital learning experience– but you don’t have the time to create a strategy
And your goals might include…
Getting butts in seats at community events
Creating consistent audience awareness and loyalty
Launching a brand-new facet of your business without hiring a new team
Increased collaboration with ambassadors or other orgs who love what you do
Implementing a sustainable engagement strategy through event planning
More word-of-mouth referrals
Getting people to experience your big idea, to love it and to share it with others
Not burning out while you go change the world

There’s science behind learning. You can design your materials so participants can skip the fluff and absorb what matters.
Make it easy to get your participant from Point A to Point B and enjoy the transformation, whether it’s an opt-in freebie, online course curriculum, a learning library, or a private podcast.
I offer one-time projects for those not looking for ongoing support. We’ll design a bespoke package together.
Are We A Good Fit?
My work lives at the intersection of engagement, education, and empowerment.
My background in the outdoor industry covers program design, event planning, content creation, curriculum writing, outdoor guiding, athlete management, and beyond.
Combining all that makes me confident that I can create a program or expand a community that makes your business thrive.
I also have a bit of a counter-culture streak. I do NOT like exploitative marketing tactics, false scarcity/urgency, pushy and nonconsensual sales pitches, or making audience members feel bad about themselves. I use ethical marketing and community building practices and am continually learning how to be mindful of that.
Although I’m a Jill of many trades, there are pieces of work that I don’t do and outsource. For example, if I help you design a social media campaign, I myself do not log in and post to your account. I can draft all content, but somebody else may have to do the actually posting.

Projects are hyper-personalized, so I’ll have to write you a custom quote. But since I love transparency, I can give you some ballpark ideas:
-Monthly retainers start at $1,000/month.
-My hourly rate is $150 for one-off or short-term projects, but I typically write a project proposal instead.
Ask me about what you need!

I’ve worked with outdoor gear brands, nonprofits, youth groups, coaches, consultants, doctors, designers, educators… You’re likely a great partner!
Although I typically work in outdoor and adventure-related areas, you don’t need to be in those industries. I’ve worked with schools, life coaches, health/wellness biz owners, and community events.

Typically, yes! Most of my work is in the Pacific Northwest, but a few times a year I travel for work across the US. (And someday, we’ll go international…)
